ATLANTA, Ga. (October 26, 2007)-Southeast Tourism Society members have a new way to place streaming video on their Web sites and other network Web sites through a partnership between STS and R2R Media, an Internet media company in Atlanta.
"It's an STS goal to provide members with access to marketing tools that can help them stay current in today's tourism market. Travel Web sites are beginning to feature streaming video, and we wanted STS to link members with a leading supplier of that service," said Bill Hardman, STS President and CEO.
R2R Media's program with STS actually networks streaming video on a member's own Web site plus three others-southeasttourism.org, escapetothesoutheast.com and zoomwa.com.
Zoomwa.com is a consumer Web site that will house travel-oriented video for a variety of companies and destinations.
"An appeal of our system is that an STS member doesn't incur the cost of hosting the video because their content will be housed on Zoomwa servers," said Chip Emerson, CEO of R2R Media.
"Having a destination's video available in these four locations multiplies the opportunity for it to be seen by people who travel in the Southeast. I truly believe the Zoomwa Network is a unique program." Emerson said.
R2R Media has more than 30 years of experience in video production and is a pioneer in streaming video on the Internet. R2R Media developed High Impact Video Networking (HIVN), a proprietary program for Internet use. HIVN is the basis for Zoomwa, a universal Web site library where videos are aggregated to link thousands of tourism oriented sites into one network.
"Getting maximum exposure for a client's video message is our major focus," Emerson said.
